Meet Our Pastor and His Family

The Walkers

Pastor Trent Walker serves as Lead Pastor of Connect Church alongside his wife, Siobhan. Together, Trent and Siobhan have spent their lives serving the local church, leading worship, teaching the Word, and encouraging people to pursue a genuine relationship with Jesus and a life led by the Holy Spirit. Trent is a graduate of The King’s University in Southlake, Texas, and he and Siobhan share a passion for raising up the next generation of worshippers and leaders who know God, know His Word, and live boldly for His purposes. Trent and Siobhán are also the proud parents of five sons, and family is at the heart of both their life and ministry. At Connect Church, their desire is to build a Christ-centered, Spirit-led, family-focused church where people can find meaningful connection with Christ, His family, and His mission.

What We Believe

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, equal in nature and glory, yet distinct in person and function.

We believe in God the Father, the Creator and sustainer of all things, who is holy, righteous, loving, and good. He is the source of all life and the loving Father who desires to reconcile humanity to Himself. Through His great love, He sent His Son into the world to provide salvation and eternal life to all who believe.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, eternally divine and fully God, who became fully human through His miraculous virgin birth. We believe Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins, was physically raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe He is the only way to the Father, the Savior of the world, and the Lord who will one day return to establish His eternal Kingdom.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, who is fully God and is actively working in the world and in the lives of believers today. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts people of sin, brings new birth, empowers believers to live holy and victorious lives, guides and teaches us, and equips the Church for ministry. We believe in the full activating power and present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit, including the baptism in the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, and the manifestation of signs, miracles, and wonders for today. We believe these works of the Holy Spirit continue according to His will, bringing glory to Jesus Christ and advancing the Kingdom of God.

We believe the Bible is the infallible and inerrant Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and given to humanity as the authoritative foundation for our faith and life. We believe it reveals God’s character, His will, and His plan of redemption through Jesus Christ, and that it is our final authority for what we believe, how we live, and how we worship.

We believe that all humanity has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and that sin separates us from God and results in spiritual death and eternal separation from Him. Yet, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us, demonstrating God’s great love and providing the way for our redemption through His death and resurrection.

We believe that salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ. Through repentance and faith in Him, we receive forgiveness of sins, are made righteous before God, and are born again into new life. As Scripture declares, “there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.” We believe that when a person confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, they are saved and receive the gift of eternal life. Through Christ, we are delivered from the power and penalty of sin and from eternal separation from God, and are reconciled to the Father as His children.

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ, both Jew and Gentile, united together as one people through Him. We believe the Church is called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, serve others, pray fervently, and demonstrate the love of Christ to the world.

We believe that, by God’s providential design, Gentile believers have been grafted into the spiritual heritage and covenant purposes revealed through the Scriptures, becoming fellow heirs in Christ and members of God’s household. We believe this grafting in does not mean that the Church has replaced, superseded, or nullified God’s purposes for the Jewish people. We honor the Jewish people, recognize the unique place of Israel in God’s redemptive plan, and believe the Church is called to pray for, bless, and love the people and nation of Israel.

We believe that in Christ, Jew and Gentile are brought together into one Body, while God remains faithful to His promises. We therefore embrace the biblical declaration that we are “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people,” called to “proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again for His Church, and that He is preparing a radiant, victorious, and holy Bride who eagerly awaits His return. We do not live in fear, despair, or expectation of defeat, but in the hope, joy, and victory of Christ, knowing that Jesus will return for a Church that is alive in faith, full of His Spirit, walking in holiness, and proclaiming His Gospel to the world. We believe the return of Christ is the blessed hope of the Church and the culmination of God's redemptive plan.

We believe marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman, as revealed in Scripture and established in God’s design for creation. We believe marriage is intended to be a lifelong covenant of love, faithfulness, companionship, and mutual sacrifice, and that the family established through this covenant is the foundational building block of a healthy society and provides the best environment for human flourishing.

We believe God created humanity male and female, and that our biological sex is a God-given reality and part of His intentional design. Therefore, we do not affirm homosexuality or sexual relationships outside the covenant of marriage, nor do we affirm the ideology that a person’s gender can be separated from the biological sex God gave them at creation.

At the same time, we believe every person is created in the image of God and is worthy of dignity, compassion, love, and respect. The Church is called to faithfully uphold God's truth while extending the grace and transforming love of Jesus Christ to every person.

We believe that divine healing is provided through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and is available to believers today. We believe Jesus Christ is our Healer and that God desires wholeness and healing for His people—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We believe the Church is called to pray for the sick in faith, anoint them with oil, and minister healing in the name of Jesus.

We believe the Holy Spirit continues to manifest gifts of healing, miracles, and supernatural power today, and that believers are empowered to pray with faith and expectation for God to heal. We trust God’s goodness and sovereignty in every circumstance, believing that He is our healer, our source, and our hope.
